Account Research Brief
- Use when
- You have a meeting tomorrow and all you know is the website
- Output
- One page of sourced facts, unknowns, hypotheses to test, three questions
· 12 min read · 32 skills, free
Know the account, find a dated reason to call, plan the meeting, write it up the same day, propose, negotiate, then run the pipeline and the deal review on written proof. Claude prepares; you have the conversation.
01What these skills are
This pack is for account executives, key account managers, and the sales and business development leaders who run them.
The skills follow a deal and a selling week in order, in eight stages, from getting to know the account to reviewing the deal with your manager and after the decision.
The red line: Claude prepares the account, the call and the write-up from public sources and your own notes, and you have the conversation. It never invents a contact, a signal, a number or a customer quote, never rates a buyer or a seller, and never contacts anyone for you.
Each skill produces one artifact a seller is asked for, in the same shape every time, and ends with the decision a named person makes.
Every fact carries its source and date, and “unknown” is a valid answer. Deals are placed by written evidence. Messages are drafts you rewrite and send.
One zip: ready-to-install skill zips, readable SKILL.md files, and the sources behind every method. Free, no signup. The same 32 skills live in our open repo, if you would rather read them before you install them.

02The catalog
The set follows a deal and a selling week in eight stages: knowing the account, finding the reason to call, preparing and running the meeting, writing it up, proposing, negotiating and closing, running the pipeline, and reviewing the deal.
03How to use it
Start with the account research brief, the day before a meeting. After that, bring the account, the notes or the deal that is in front of you.
A meeting tomorrow, or a written plan to hand in.
A call block this week and nothing true to say yet.
The call earned a meeting and it has to end with a customer action.
The meeting just ended and your notes are still fresh.
The customer asked for a proposal.
The buyer comes back on price, or said yes and nothing is signed.
A forecast and a deal review with your manager this week.

07FAQ
32 Claude skills that follow a deal and a selling week in eight stages: know the account, find the reason to call, prepare and run the meeting, write it up, propose, negotiate and close, run the pipeline, and review the deal. Each skill produces one artifact.
In Claude Code, two lines install all 32 at once. In Claude.ai or Claude Desktop, download the zip, open Settings, Skills, Add, and upload the skills you want. Either way it takes about five minutes.
No. The skills work in Claude.ai, Claude Desktop and Claude Code. In the app you upload them yourself; in Claude Code one command installs the whole pack.
They are built as Claude Skills, and installing them is a Claude feature. Each one is a plain Markdown file, so you can read it and reuse the method elsewhere, but it will not load and trigger by itself outside Claude.
No. Claude prepares the account, the call and the write-up from public sources and your own notes, and you have the conversation. Messages are drafts you rewrite and send. It never contacts anyone for you, and nothing is sequenced, scheduled or sent.
Yes. It is free to use inside your company and in client work, and not for resale. There is no signup: the download and the install command are on this page.
08Who made this
These skills were written by Polar Bear, a people ops consultancy that runs its own company on Claude. The pack is free, and the same skills are open on GitHub.
Lantern is Polar Bear's content workspace. It turns your notes, documents and call transcripts into drafts for LinkedIn and other networks. You review them and publish the ones you like.
